Why do business in China?

China is the world's most populous nation, with a population of over 1.3 billion people, representing an enormous market. Today, Asia giant is becoming the second largest economy, having surpassed Germany in 2009 and Japan in 2010.

During the worldwide financial crisis and recession, China, as well as other emerging market countries, suffered from the lack of demand for goods from the West. The Chinese government introduced a $586 billion US bailout package at the end of 2008 to improve liquidity and infrastructure. Partly as a result of that, China's economy grew by 8.7% in 2009. It looks as though China will be the first major economy to recover from the current global financial situation.

Over the past decade there have been increasing indications that Canada's China policy has been falling short of expectations across a wide range of criteria. Canada's share of China's import and financial market has been declining relative to others, such as the USA, UK, France and Australia. Canadian small and medium sized businesses are now paying the price for these governmental diplomatic blunders through reduced trade and investment opportunities with China.

JJICA provides consulting services that eliminate business and cultural barriers. Our services are geared to Canadian small & medium sized companies and professional business individuals who are actively pursuing business in China - whether to take advantage of rapidly growing Chinese consumer demand, look at Chinese industrial and equity markets, or to acquire competitive overseas business sourcing.
